Thanks! They're good, but not brilliant - crumb is a bit tough the day after. I prefer another recent experiment, black bottomed cupcakes from the Hummingbird Bakery book I got for Christmas. Choc cake with cheesecake baked in. Tim said, 'you could sell these for £1.50 each.' I discovered they actually sell for £2.25...
